• Substitute Teaching Assistant

    Patchogue-Medford School District (Patchogue, NY)


    RESPONSIBILITIES :

    + Provide instruction to individual and small groups of students.

    + Assist students in the use of instructional materials and aids.

    + Assist students with activities of personal care/hygiene/toileting as applicable.

    + Utilize personal skills to assist in the instructional program as directed by the teacher.

    + Provide the teacher with information about the students that will assist in the development of appropriate learning activities.

    + Implementation of behavior modification and other data collection.

    Job Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

    Must hold a valid NYS Level I, II, or III Teaching Assistant Certification or NYS Teacher Certification

    QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:

    Evidence of successful experience working with children with disabilities
