Job Description
With minimal direction the **Perioperative Services Preference Card Operations Specialist** will act as a liaison between key stakeholders for the creation, maintenance, optimization, and auditing of surgical preference cards. The Preference Card Operations Specialist will serve as the designated point person to manage the collaboration and flow of information from the group. They will ensure preference cards accurately and efficiently reflect the needs of the surgical team. Correct procedure preference cards can prevents delays, reduces supply storage, and prevent waste of costly supplies. Optimizing surgeon preference cards can improve patient care and reduce stress in the perioperative environment.
Minimum Requirements
+ High School diploma or equivalent GED
+ Proficient in Microsoft office products with extensive knowledge in use of Excel
+ At least 1 year (separate or combined) of either clinical experience or IT experience.
+ Excellent communication skills
+ Experience working with multiple levels of staff and leaders
Preferred Qualifications
+ Knowledge of surgical services
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
+ Knowledge of electronic medical record
