    The Commercial and Investment Bank team is an integral part of JPMorgan's Firmwide Events structure, dedicated to delivering best-in-class events and programs for the firm's clients. As a Commercial and Investment Banking Events Management Associate, you will play a key role in shaping memorable experiences that drive business success, using your creativity, initiative, and attention to detail.

     

    As an Events Management Associate, you will be responsible for managing the planning and execution of client-facing events across the country, leveraging strategic marketing plans to help increase sales and grow market share for Global Banking. While you'll collaborate with a variety of teams, you will be expected to take ownership of projects and manage the logistics of events from start to finish. We're looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who can maintain a calm, positive, and proactive approach amid shifting priorities.     Job responsibilities:

    + Coordinate and assist in the planning and execution of client engagement efforts within CIB while delivering best-in-class service

    + Support high-profile customer events, including idea generation, venue selection, budget management, registration, housing, AV, transportation, food and beverage coordination, and internal/external communications

    + Negotiate and oversee vendor contracts across event elements while identifying and tracking cost savings

    + Develop, balance, manage and reconcile event budgets with meticulous precision and accuracy throughout the lifecycle of the event. Provide regular budget updates and variance analysis

    + Maintain details and utilize spreadsheets for all program components including budget tracking, logistics, flight manifests, and other data analyses

    + Collaborate with the various functional areas of CIB Marketing to manager aspects of larger projects

    + Apply internal processes and controls to adhere to policies and regulations

    + Manage relationships with internal and external vendors, ensuring quality standards

    + Deliver high-quality output under tight and changing deadlines

    + Innovate on current programs, making them feel fresh and new. Improve the program operating rhythm, recommend ideas for upleveling and optimizing

    + Use data and feedback to measure the success of the event and identify areas for continued process improvement and efficiencies

    Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

    + Bachelor's Degree required

    + 4 years of experience with events, project management, business management, or corporate communications, in a client-facing role

    + Exceptional planning and time management skills with a strong focus on logistical coordination and execution

    + Exhibits high-level executive presence when interacting with senior leaders and excellent written and verbal communication skills

    + Strong sense of time management, prioritization and ability to execute against deliverables with attention to detail and accuracy

    + Ability to build reporting, analyze data and streamline information and proven ability to work in a matrix management organization structure

    + Ability to problem-solve and think on your feet using sound judgement to address and/or mitigate issues as needed

    + Self-aware and receptive to constructive feedback, continuously striving for personal and professional growth, also a team player with a positive attitude and commitment to success

    + Demonstrates initiative and is able to drive projects forward independently

    + Proven ability to manage events on-site, representing the firm professionally and ensuring a seamless experience for clients and stakeholders, some travel required

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Suite programs, especially Excel and PowerPoint
