Join Virginia Mason, a leading institution renowned for its innovative Team Medicine approach and commitment to patient care excellence through the Virginia Mason Production System. We're seeking a **Certified Medical Assistant** to be an integral part of our dynamic healthcare team.

In this pivotal role, you will significantly contribute to seamless patient care and clinic efficiency by:

+ **Direct Patient Support:** Assisting providers throughout the patient visit continuum, from pre-visit preparation and rooming to post-visit duties. This includes performing vital sign measurements (weight, height, BP, pulse, respirations, temperature) and various patient care procedures within MA scope of practice, such as injections, EKGs, ear lavage, and blood draws.

+ **Workflow Optimization:** Managing patient flow, informing providers of schedule adjustments, actively participating in front office activities, handling scheduling tasks, and reporting test results as directed.

+ **Administrative Excellence:** Contributing to administrative tasks, including appointment scheduling, medical record maintenance, and insurance claim processing.

+ **Exceptional Patient Experience:** Providing outstanding customer service and maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming clinic environment for all patients.

Job Requirements

+ High School Diploma (or GED equivalent) and completion of a Medical Assistant certification program at an accredited institution or validation of equivalent military training (i.e. Hospital Corpsman) that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities.

+ One year of work experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.

+ Certified (CM) or medical Assistant Interim (IC) credential required.

+ knowledge of third party payer requirements required.

+ Strong aptitude for detail, and ability to work independently, required.

+ Strong organizational, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills required.

+ Skill in using a PC required.

$27.25 - $38.49/hour
