*About the Role* The Governor’s Office is seeking a Policy Advisor specializing in Education and Tax Policy to join our Policy Team. This role is critical to advancing the Governor’s priorities in K-12 and higher education, workforce development, and state tax policy. As a trusted advisor, you will help shape and implement policy initiatives that impact Montana’s schools, families, and economy. *Key Responsibilities* * Analyze and develop policy proposals related to K-12 and higher education, workforce development, and state tax policy. * Prepare briefing materials and advise the Governor, Lt. Governor, and senior staff on education, workforce, and tax issues. * Build relationships with constituents, school districts, educators, legislators, and business leaders to advance the Governor’s agenda. * Draft and monitor legislation; testify before legislative committees on priority bills. * Coordinate with state agencies, including the Department of Revenue, Department of Labor and Industry, and Office of Public Instruction, to implement policy changes. * Represent the Governor at education, labor, and tax policy forums, conferences, and stakeholder meetings. *Qualifications* * Strong understanding of education systems and tax policy. * Experience in policy development, legislative processes, or government relations. * Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. *Why Join Us?* You’ll play a key role in shaping Montana’s future by advancing impactful policy initiatives in education and tax reform.
