    KEY ACTIVITIES

    + Implement Sunroc mission (Building a Better Community) and core values (We Value People, Our Word is Our Bond, Always Give a Full Measure, We Continuously Improve).

    + Diagnose, rebuild, and repair vehicles and equipment; perform major engine and transmission repairs and replacements as well as electrical diagnosis.

    + Perform major electrical repairs (including electronic controls), minor welding repairs, engine and transmission repairs and replacements, as well as equipment and plant maintenance repairs.

    + Perform inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment.

    + Complete major road calls and perform field repairs.

    + Keep scales calibrated and certified with the state.

    + Responsible for safe operation and securing equipment.

    + Maintain tools as required to perform job.

    + Ensure a safe and healthful work environment at all times.

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

    + Knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, electronics, and familiar with associated components.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    + High School Diploma or equivalent.

    + 3 years journeyman experience and/or 2 years diesel mechanic certificate (preferred).

    + Valid CDL (preferred) and clean driving record.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    + Ability to lift 50 lbs without assistance.

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

    + Scheduled shift is 3:00pm to 1:00am

    + Must be 18 years or older.

    + Documentation that proves eligibility to work in the U.S.

    + Attention and commitment to safety.

    + Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
