    Job Title: Chief Investigator- CURRENT SEXUAL OFFENDER RISK REVIEW BOARD EMPLOYEES ONLY

    Job Summary:

    Under the general direction of the Executive Director, is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and carrying out investigative operations.

     

    Summary of essential job functions

     

    The Chief Investigator establishes operating procedures, practices and guidelines, and communicates them to investigative staff. Responsible for assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing a quota to ensure timely completion of cases. Participates in hiring Investigators and monitors and controls schedules, duties, conduct, tracking case completion, and completing performance reviews for investigative staff. Create projections for the completion of newly received cases and backlog cases. Communicates with the Executive Director as needed. Works with the Executive Director in developing a budget necessary for investigation completion, resource development, and training. Assist Executive Director with media management. Assist Executive Director with legislative recommendations and subcommittee testimony for any necessary legal changes in assisting SORRB in the agency mission. Overall case completion.

     

    Preferred Qualification

     

    Ten years of law enforcement experience AND two years of supervisory experience. Experience working with State, Federal, and Military agencies. Valid driver’s license and ability to drive. Experience communicating with various agencies. Experience working remotely and managing staff remotely. Able to commute to Atlanta or other meeting locations when necessary. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Office software (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint). Skills in database management, with good knowledge of google programs.
