    In this position...

     

    Ford Philanthropy marketing and communications team is seeking a senior strategic communications leader to oversee the digital content strategy and development for Ford Philanthropy channels. This role would also serve as primary liaison with counterparts in central marketing and communications at Ford and Ford Philanthropy's non-profit partners.

     

    What you'll do...

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Lead digital strategy that authentically showcase Ford Philanthropy's impact in communities around the world.

    + Manage a team of internal and external creative talent (e.g. agencies, contractors) to conceptualize and produce impact-centered content.

    + Partner with Ford Marketing, Communications, and Philanthropy colleagues to identify compelling human-interest stories and impact data: from internal programs and external partners, translating them into engaging content.

    + Oversee the creation and curation of compelling, multi-format content across Ford Philanthropy platforms (social, emerging channels) and integration into central Ford properties (e.g. From the Road and at Ford).

    + Support development strategic, outside-the-box partnerships with creators and influencers to co-create authentic content that expand reach and deepen engagement with new audiences.

    + Co-develop and coordinate content strategies with Ford Philanthropy partners building integrated storytelling processes that amplify collective impact and ensure consistent, compelling messaging.

    + Manage process to support content pipelines and editorial calendars, keep the team on track to ensure the timely delivery of digital content.

    + Continuously research, experiment with, and pilot new digital trends, innovative storytelling techniques, and emerging platforms.

     

    You'll have...

    Required:

    + Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, policy, or a related field.

    + 7-8+ years of experience in communications, with a significant focus on public / private partnerships and partnership communications, social impact programming, external relations, or public affairs.

    + Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic communications plans that achieve measurable results and drive positive social impact.

    + Proven track record of securing earned media placements and managing media relationships, particularly in the non-profit or corporate social responsibility space.

    + Strong understanding of budget management principles and experience overseeing agency relationships.

    + Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail, a strong storytelling ability, and the capacity to tailor messages for diverse audiences.

    + Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

    + Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport and influence with diverse stakeholders, including non-profit leaders, community members, and corporate executives.
