JOB SUMMARY
Baylor Scott & White McLane Children’s Medical Center seeks a Foundation Officer, responsible for leading and executing fundraising campaigns with Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals. This role works with partners through various campaigns, programs, and store activations. This role builds and stewards relationships with local CMN partners, donors, and community stakeholders to increase awareness and financial support, and plays a critical role in expanding the CMN program in Central Texas, ensuring partners have the tools, support, and mission connection needed to maximize fundraising success.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Manages all aspects of Children's Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals corporate partners and peer-to-peer programs, overseeing a robust portfolio of partners, to ensure the success of annual fundraising campaigns.
Manages and executes the solicitation, cultivation, and stewardship of assigned CMN partners/programs executives, store leaders, and frontline employees through regular communication and in-person visits to ensure strong relationships and sustained revenue growth.
Grows participation in and acts as the hospital advisor for Dance Marathons, Radiothons, Credit Unions for Kids, Extra Life, Play Yellow, and additional CMN initiatives, guiding participant groups and partners to strengthen engagement and fundraising results.
Conducts weekly on-site visits throughout a 12-county region to support partner campaigns, provide hands-on training and stewardship, and maintains regular face-to-face and virtual meetings with individuals, corporations, and other stakeholders.
Plans and facilitates campaign kickoffs for assigned partners and programs prior to the start of their respective campaigns/fundraising events.
Ensures CMN partners have the tools, communication, and local resources necessary to meet or surpass annual fundraising goals.
Develops and executes strategies for re-engaging dormant partners and programs.
Evaluates annual campaign performance and recommends strategic adjustments to improve future outcomes.
Lead, coach, and support volunteers and stakeholders who contribute to fundraising efforts and program execution.
Works closely with McLane Children’s patient families to storytell and inspire community partners; leading the identification and onboarding of annual CMN Champion family and ambassadors
Collaborate with internal teams to support marketing, storytelling, and donor impact integration.
Achieves personal & department revenue goals ensuring timely reporting of activities, revenue generated, and expenses.
Updates Raisers Edge database and InFlight application with actions in a timely manner.
Collaborates with the Development team to review current portfolios and identify innovative plans for additional solicitation and cultivation.
Attends conferences, events and networking opportunities as needed; annual CMN Hospitals conferences include Children’s Hospitals Week and Dance Marathon Leadership Conference, and other CMN meetings (travel required)
Attends Foundation events and meetings, in addition to CMN events, for Foundation representation, networking, etc.
Recruits volunteers for events as needed.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
Prior strategic, policy, and budget planning experience highly preferred.
Ability to plan and execute fundraising initiatives from inception to completion.
Skilled in donor cultivation with the ability to develop and implement strategies that engage CMN partners and increase fundraising results.
Ability to maintain a consistent travel schedule across a large 12-county market, ensuring strong on-site presence, support, and stewardship for CMN partners.
Highly self-driven and persistent, with the determination to continue growing CMN partnerships and programs while proactively managing frequent partner turnover through consistent outreach, calls, and follow-up.
Comfortable visiting partner locations and making introductory phone calls to identify and cultivate new relationships from the ground up
Demonstrated success managing and stewarding fundraising relationships.
Works collaboratively and effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Professional maturity, judgment, and decisiveness to inspire confidence among prospects & donors.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively relate to, encourage, and partner with individuals and groups across a wide spectrum of life experiences.
Ability to write and speak persuasively about the institution.
Strong working knowledge of computer programs; Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, database applications, etc.
Detail- and deadline-oriented with high energy and a solutions-focused mindset.
Able to work evenings and weekends when required to fulfill event, partnership, and community engagement needs.
