Job Summary:
_The Business Development Manager will lead business development efforts to support Skanska’s Boston Business Plan. This individual will be tasked with managing and driving the business development activities to reach and establish relationships with high-level clients and community stakeholders. The Business Development Manager must be a flexible and adaptable team player, as well as have strong communication and client contact/management skills. He/she will collaborate and work closely with the Executive Vice President /General Manager, Operations and Preconstruction Vice Presidents and the Marketing team. The position requires business management acumen and must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills._
**Duties and Responsibilities** :
+ Identifies, researches and leads pursuit of potential clients and project opportunities
+ Actively engages with internal Skanska team members on a routine basis
+ Gains understanding and use of the Skanska’s Business Development process
+ Understands and represents Skanska’s core values: Care for Life, Act Ethically and Transparently, Be Better Together, Commit to Customers
+ Participates in pursuit strategy development
+ Gains industry and Skanska knowledge
+ Writes and supports proposal process
+ Participates in presentation preparation and coaching
+ Participates in leadership in civic/community organizations
+ Represents Skanska in positive manner in the community
+ Engages in local Sales budget process
+ Enters and maintains accurate and timely data in SalesForce

Education and Experience/Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree and/or 10+ years relevant experience
+ Be enthusiastic and optimistic
+ Must have a strong professional network
+ Must be a self-starter
+ Good time management skills and organizational skills
+ Flexible interpersonal skills to work with all levels of management
+ Professional demeanor and conduct
