• Estimator for Commercial Roofing

    Horizon Roofing (New Hope, MN)


    ### Job Duties

    - Review and confirm the scope of work and bid proposals for accuracy and completeness.

     

    - Submit timely clarification questions during the construction bid process.

     

    - Prepare detailed estimates for shingle and siding projects by gathering and analyzing proposals, performing onsite inspections, reviewing blueprints, specifications, and related project documents.

     

    - Calculate labor, material, equipment, and time requirements to develop accurate cost estimates.

     

    - Attend construction pre-bid, pre-construction, and post-construction meetings as needed.

     

    - Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to discuss project needs, resolve issues, and refine estimates.

     

    - Participate in team efforts to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project outcomes.

     

    - Maintain high accuracy, strong organization, and timely completion of all estimating tasks.

     

    ### Minimum Education Required

    - Degree in Architectural Drafting, Estimating, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.

     

    - Equivalent practical experience is acceptable.

     

    ### Minimum Experience Required

    - Successful experience estimating and selling shingle and siding projects (required).

     

    - Proven ability to read blueprints, specifications, and related construction documents.

     

    - Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and critical thinking skills.

     

    - Ability to work within deadlines and manage multiple estimating tasks.

     

    - Valid driver’s license.

     

    - Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background check.
