+ This position is a mainline American Airlines role within the Regional organization and reports directly to the Director, Regional Planning and Strategy. The senior manager will lead a team of analysts responsible for analyzing and developing the strategic and business direction for the regional carrier portfolio covering 600 aircraft and 3,500 daily departures.

+ Key contributor to regional portfolio strategic decisions in collaboration with Network Planning, Fleet Planning, and Corporate Real Estate Planning
+ Evaluate structure of existing contracts for opportunities to enhance operational performance or reduce expenses
+ Develop plans for product improvements across the portfolio in conjunction with Fleet Planning
+ Provide analysis and support for strategic commercial program investments (i.e. wifi, cabin interior refresh, power ports, etc.) impacting the regional fleet
+ Become regional industry expert to understand contractual and operational best practices
+ Develop competitive industry studies and key performance indicator (KPI) metrics; prepare in-depth cause and effect analyses on complex financial issues
+ Develop presentations and provide internal recommendations regarding division performance to senior management
+ Provide ad hoc basis analytical support to the regional operations-focused teams

+ 5+ years airline experience

+ Strong collaboration skills and proven ability to develop team
+ Demonstrated ability to effectively handle multiple, concurrent projects with minimal supervision; appropriately prioritize projects to meet all critical deadlines
+ Strong analytical, negotiations and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent organizational abilities
+ Excellent interpersonal, writing, and verbal communication skills
+ Highly proficient in the use of spreadsheets, as well as all MS Office software (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook)
