Summary

+ The Volunteer Program Specialist is responsible for assignment, coordination and supervision of all volunteer activities of the Hospice Program.

+ Responsible for recruitment, screening, training, evaluation and ongoing education of Hospice volunteers.

+ Works with clients of all ages.

+ Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care when interacting with patients, their families and with co-workers.

Schedule

+ Full-Time | 64 hours every two weeks

+ Monday - Friday, Day shift 8:00AM to 4:30PM

+ Occasional evenings and weekend shifts for special events

Pay and Benefits

+ Starting pay begins at $18.38 per hour and increases with experience

+ Pay range: $18.38 - $27.61 per hour

Qualifications

+ High school diploma or GED

+ Post-secondary degree in nursing or another related field required or

+ post-secondary degree in human services or another related field required or

+ post-secondary degree in medical social services or another related field.

+ Documented experience with volunteers and demonstrated skills in interpersonal communications, public relations, and human relations required.

+ A driving record in good standing and the minimum amount of insurance liability coverage required.

+ Transportation available for off campus activities required.

+ A valid Minnesota Class D driver's license required.
