At Lincoln Tech, Union, NJ, lead a high-energy, for-profit training school of 1,600 students and 55 hands-on trades faculty

We are a for-profit trade school serving more than 1,600 students, staffed by 55 faculty members with extensive real-world trade backgroundsâdirect, outspoken, hardworking, and expecting a leader who can command respect while building trust. You will manage a team of 10 high-performing administrative staff and oversee day-to-day educational operations with an entrepreneurial mindset.
This is not a traditional academic role. Itâs an operations, people leadership, and strategic execution position at its core.
What You Will Do
+ Run the daily department operations of a large, high-activity trade school with ownership, accountability, and drive.
+ Lead, mentor, and support a faculty of hands-on trades professionals; earn credibility through fairness, consistency, and strong interpersonal savvy.
+ Develop and implement strategic initiatives, including program improvements, resource allocation, scheduling, and student-success strategies.
+ Work closely with senior leadership to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans; identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
+ Collaborate with marketing and admissions to align training, messaging, and student-success goals.
+ Manage a high-performing 10-person staff, ensuring clarity, communication, coaching, and results.
+ Ensure compliance with accrediting bodies, state regulations, and company policies (experience helpfulâwe can train).
+ Foster a positive, performance-driven culture with humor, emotional intelligence, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

Qualifications
+ Bachelorâs degree required, Masterâs a plus but not mandatory.
+ 5+ years of leadership experience in operations, business management, training, trades, or for-profit education (any combination considered).
+ Experience leading large teams with diverse roles and personalities.
+ Familiarity with compliance, accreditation, or heavily regulated industries is beneficial.
+ Proven ability to manage people, solve complex problems, and drive measurable results.
