    General Summary

    Be responsible for all mechanical maintenance activities.

     

    Prerequisites

     

    Education: High School with College Degree Preferred in Engineering related subjects.

     

    Work Experience: Three (3) years of Mechanical Supervision.

     

    Skills: The ability to understand all mechanical equipment & systems.

     

    Other: Ability to motivate subordinates & work closely with people at all levels of management. Proficiency in communications both written & oral.

     

    Essential Functions of this position include but are not limited to...

     

    1. Supervise the activities of all personnel assigned to the Mechanical Maintenance Departments.

    2. Maintains compliance with ISO Quality System responsibilities.

    3. Schedule & coordinate Mechanical Maintenance shutdowns, repairs & construction work in cooperation with the Electrical Department, Operating Departments & Plant Engineering Department.

    4. Issue requisitions for repair parts & supplies necessary to Mechanical Maintenance & construction work in cooperation with the Electrical Department, Operating Departments &

     

    Plant Engineering Department.

     

    5. Direct the administration of Company policy & programs pertaining to the performance, training, safety & morale of all personnel under his supervision.

    6. Assure enforcement of company rules & regulations & maintenance discipline as well as effective administration of the Union-Management agreement.

    7. Keep the Maintenance Manager informed of all current & long-range personnel & maintenance problems & plans.

    8. Assist in preparing cost estimate for work orders, capital jobs & in the preparation of the annual departmental operating & capital budgets.

    9. Maintain accurate, up-to-date maintenance records & information on all machinery, equipment & buildings.

    10. Coordinate & cooperate with outside contractors & equipment suppliers.

     

    Compensation and Benefits

     

    + Starting salary range for position: $107,100 to $198,900

    + Paid Vacation: Three (3) weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.

    + Paid Holidays.

    + Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision – and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.

    + Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
