Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience in higher education environment, including supervision of staff and responsibility for scholarship management.
Job Summary:
Responsible for the management of the Scholarship department and the administration of all endowed scholarship funds
Job Duties:
+ Administer and provide proactive leadership in the Scholarship office which manages more than 363 scholarships for all four schools, adhering to federal, state and institutional regulations and philosophy.
+ Develop and monitor the Scholarship departmental budget including personnel needs and operating expenses.
+ Manage all institutional funds to ensure compliance while awarding scholarships.
+ Promote collaboration across the University while developing policies and procedures as they relate to scholarships.
+ Provide management, organizational and supervisory skills in the leadership of the customer service to students in person, by phone and email regarding all aspects of Enrollment Services.
+ Coordinate Scholarship Committee meetings for all four schools to ensure compliance regulations are met in accordance with the donative agreement s and UT System.
+ Interpret and update regulations and policies and makes adjustments to processes to ensure compliance. Inform key players in administration and the schools to develop strategies to ensure compliance and meet institutional goals.
+ Monitor scholarship disbursements and funding to ensure that funds are available and accounts are monitored and balanced.
+ Provide leadership to ensure accounting practices are followed, accounts balanced, and reports created are timely and accurate.
+ Understand the use of technology in the administration of scholarships and articulates needed changes or updates.
+ Serve as the functional lead for the scholarship application module in Campus Solutions.
+ Identify appropriate internal controls for scholarships and provides mechanisms to monitor and enforce compliance.
+ Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and six years of experience in a higher education admissions or registrar’s office.
Salary Range:
Commensurate with experience.
