    Job Description:

    Maintenance Coordinator

    **Location:** Mesa, AZ

    **Pay:** Starts at $24/HR

    **Schedule:** 7:00 AM-4:00 PM

     

    Job Purpose

     

    The Maintenance Coordinator will provide day-to-day support across all departments to ensure optimal equipment efficiency throughout the facility. This role is responsible for minimizing equipment downtime through proper preventive maintenance, coordinating and supervising outside vendors, and overseeing facility upgrades and major repair projects.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Serve as a safety champion for the facility and actively participate in management safety committee meetings.

    + Train employees on forklift and overhead crane certification.

    + Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair:

    + Injection molding equipment

    + Extrusion molding equipment

    + Carbon fiber processing equipment

    + Perform facility maintenance, including:

    + Plumbing repairs

    + Motor and VFD troubleshooting/replacement

    + Wall and door repairs

    + HVAC maintenance

    + Aesthetic/functional tasks (e.g., painting floors and walls)

    + Troubleshoot and maintain auxiliary facility equipment, such as compressors.

    + Maintain minimum stock levels for all spare parts.

    + Work with external vendors to order parts and schedule third-party services.

    + Ensure a safe and compliant work environment.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Experience:

    + High School diploma or equivalent

    + Strong oral and written communication skills

    + Flexible, cooperative, and team-oriented

    + Working knowledge of drawings, specifications, and dimensional tolerances

    + Ability to train others and work cross-functionally

    Mechanical

    + Strong mechanical background (1+ years required)

    + Proven ability to implement LOTO and safe procedures for pressurized equipment

    + Experience rebuilding and troubleshooting hydraulic equipment (manual valves, electrical valves, motors, etc.)

    + Experience with air-powered devices

    + Experience with HVAC and exhaust ventilation systems

    Electrical

    + Strong electrical background (1+ years required)

    + Demonstrated ability to perform electrical LOTO and safe troubleshooting practices

    + Experience with rotary equipment and motor troubleshooting

    + Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams to diagnose circuit faults

    + Experience troubleshooting and replacing VFDs

    + Knowledge of three-phase and single-phase distribution systems (208/120VAC and 480/277VAC)

    + Experience with DC control voltages (relays, timers, PLCs)

    Preferred Experience

    + Injection molding facility experience (3+ years strongly preferred)

    + Extrusion facility experience (a plus)

    Physical Requirements

    + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

    + Ability to stand for long periods

    + Ability to work at heights safely (e.g., on scissor lifts)

    + This is a safety-sensitive position

    Pay Transparency

     

    The starting hourly rate for this position starts at $24.00. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered.
