    We have an outstanding Contract position for aSenior Cloud Developer to join a leading Company located in theClarksburg, WV surrounding area.

     

    US Citizenship is required.

     

    Candidate must possess an Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.

     

    The Cloud Developer Senior leads enterprise-scale cloud engineering projects, architects robust and innovative cloud solutions, and serves as an expert advisor for strategic modernization initiatives. This role sets technical direction, establishes best practices across teams, and ensures cloud environments are secure, resilient, and aligned with evolving business objectives.

    Job Responsibilities:

    Enterprise Cloud Architecture & Strategy:

    + Leads organization-wide cloud strategy, road-mapping, and architectural vision, considering business drivers, security posture, and technology evolution.

    + Defines and enforces reusable frameworks, reference architectures, and standards for cloud adoption and enterprise integration.

    + Designs and governs complex, multi-cloud, hybrid, and cross-region cloud solutions to maximize scalability, performance, and resilience.

    Technical Leadership & Innovation:

    + Evaluates, pilots, and incorporates emerging cloud, DevSecOps, and data analytics technologies that drive business transformation.

    + Reviews and signs off on critical cloud solution designs, migration, and modernization approaches, ensuring alignment with security, compliance, and cost goals.

    + Champions the adoption of Infrastructure as Code, automation, and advanced DevSecOps practices.

    Complex Cloud Migration & Optimization:

    + Orchestrates and leads large-scale legacy-to-cloud migrations, including mission-critical and high-risk workloads.

    + Develops strategies for optimizing cloud investments, balancing cost, risk, and performance for the business.

    + Leads advanced incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning for cloud environments.

    Security, Compliance & Governance:

    + Sets organization-wide policies and technical controls for cloud security, compliance, and data protection.

    + Oversees cloud risk assessments and remediates advanced vulnerabilities in partnership with cybersecurity teams.

    + Advocates and implements Zero Trust Architecture and advanced threat modeling.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Influence:

    + Acts as a strategic advisor to business and technical leadership, translating strategic objectives to actionable cloud initiatives.

    + Coordinates across product, security, operations, and compliance teams to deliver holistic solutions.

    + Presents and defends cloud strategies to executive and client audiences.

    Mentorship & Talent Development:

    + Coaches, mentors, and upskills other developers, engineers, and architects throughout the organization.

    + Develops and delivers internal training on advanced cloud technologies and practices.

    Basic Hiring Criteria:

    + Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent proven experience.

    + 8+ years of progressive software and cloud development experience, with 5+ years as a lead, architect, or senior engineer in large-scale, multi-cloud/hybrid cloud projects.

    + Extensive experience leading teams and projects in cloud environment engineering, cloud migrations, and enterprise-scale DevSecOps solutions.

    + Mastery of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and advanced multi-cloud architectures.

    + Exceptional coding and automation skills (Python, Java, Go, or similar), with demonstrated leadership in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).

    + Expert in Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration strategies at scale.

    + Advanced knowledge of cloud security frameworks, compliance standards (FedRAMP, NIST, ISO 27001), and secure software development lifecycle.

    + Demonstrated experience optimizing mission-critical applications for performance,

    + availability, scalability, and cost.

    Desired Qualifications:

    + Multiple relevant professional certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Expert, Google Cloud Architect, CISSP, CCSP).

    + Recognized subject matter expertise in Zero Trust security, serverless architecture, and event-driven/cloud-native patterns.

    + Prior experience mentoring technical teams and influencing enterprise cloud strategy.
