Description:
Provides Speech Therapy evaluations and treatments to appropriate patients to facilitate their return to prior level of functioning as prescribed by physician. Adheres to MercyOne's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of MercyOne.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
+ Conducts patient assessment.
+ Develops treatment plans for patients.
+ Administers treatment techniques competently.
+ Communicates relevant patient information.
+ Provides education to patients and families.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
+ Master’s Degreeincommunicative disorders.
+ No priorexperiencerequired.
+ State of Iowa licensure or temporary clinical license; Certification by the American Speech-Hearing Association preferred.
+ Mandatory Reporter, BLS, FIM.
+ Valid IA driver’s license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) (requiredif working in SpeechTherapyorContract Therapy)
