Your role and responsibilities
As a Business Transformation Consultant with expertise in Data Analytics, you will serve as a strategic advisor to clients, helping them define their data and cognitive computing strategy. You will design and develop the business architecture of cognitive solutions, ensuring they align with the client's business functional requirements.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Define Client Requirements: Translate client needs into analytics and technical specifications for implementing cognitive computing solutions, ensuring proper translation of business requirements into solution requirements.
• Develop Business Architecture: Design and develop the business architecture of cognitive solutions, aligning with client business functional requirements and defining operational scenarios.
• Establish Key Metrics: Define key metrics and lead the process and organizational aspects of the cognitive computing program, ensuring governance and proper implementation.
• Develop Use Cases: Develop use cases for cognitive applications independently or in consultation with the client, filtering and selecting structured data and unstructured content for input into cognitive systems.
• Train Cognitive Systems: Train cognitive systems and establish the ground truth for cognitive engagement systems, applying strong business knowledge and a solid foundation in data analytics.
We have positions open in these locations:
* Washington, DC Metro Area
These positions are anticipated to begin in summer 2026. Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Federal security clearance while in IBM Consulting Federal. The below requirements are guidelines. If you have transferable skills, we encourage you to apply for this role.
Required technical and professional expertise
* Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Federal security clearance while in IBM Consulting Federal
* Experience working with data analytics concepts, tools, and technologies, with the ability to apply this knowledge to real-world business problems
* Familiarity with cognitive computing solutions, including their design, development, and implementation, with a focus on aligning with business functional requirements
* Exposure to business architecture principles, including the ability to design and develop architectures that meet client needs and align with business requirements
* Experience working with analytics and technical specifications, with the ability to translate client needs into actionable requirements
Preferred technical and professional experience
* Exposure to data analytics tools and technologies, with the ability to apply this knowledge to real-world business problems
* Familiarity with cognitive computing solutions, including their design, development, and implementation, is preferred to drive business value for clients
* Exposure to business architecture principles, including the ability to design and develop architectures that meet client needs
