    _A longstanding premier food manufacturing company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II to join their growing team on a temp to hire basis. This is an amazing opportunity to work with a team that is developing groundbreaking products to support healthier living!_

     

    **Pay:** $35hr

    **Schedule:** 3rd shift (Sun-Thurs; 10:30pm-7am)

    **Location:** McDonough, GA

    Responsibilities:

    + Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair pumps, including thorough understanding of pump theory, operation, and maintenance.

    + Troubleshoot and repair automated packaging machinery, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control systems.

    + Diagnose and repair electric motors, motor controls, and related electrical components.

    + Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and manufacturer documentation.

    + Troubleshoot solid-state and processor-based controls using manufacturer manuals and prints.

    + Perform welding (gas and arc) and soldering as required.

    + Conduct plumbing work including pipe threading and fitting (iron, copper, and PVC).

    + Identify, source, and order replacement parts and materials using manufacturer instructions and parts lists.

    + Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on pneumatic systems, including air valves, cylinders, and compressors.

    + Train and mentor other maintenance mechanics and technicians.

    + Communicate effectively with production, quality, and engineering teams through clear verbal and written communication.

    + Work safely with low- and high-voltage AC and DC electrical systems.

    + Ensure all maintenance activities comply with corporate policies, food safety standards, GMPs, and safety regulations.

    Qualifications:

    + High School Diploma Minimum

    + Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing environment (food, pharma, personal care or beverage preferred).

    + Experience with automated packaging equipment.

    + Experience with troubleshooting packaging equipment, PLC Machinery, Conveyors, Hydraulic systems, Pneumatics, Conveyors
