CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking aSenior Mechanical Engineerto join ourGeneration & Energy Management TeaminAlbany, NY; Buffalo, NY; Syracuse, NY; Rochester, NY; or St. Catharines, ON. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead innovative solutions, mentor technical teams, and help clients modernize their generation assets to improve energy resilience and achieve long‑term operational success.

What You'll Do:

+ Lead the technical execution of complex engineering designs, technical reports, and specifications for power generation, energy management, and industrial facility projects

+ Provide expert consultation and resolve highly complex technical issues across various areas of advanced technology

+ Lead advanced technical projects, collaborating with other engineering departments and project management staff to deliver sustainable solutions

+ Develop and manage discipline work plans aligned with project milestones, ensuring projects are completed within budget and scheduling restraints

+ Guide and mentor junior engineering staff, including providing technical reviews and support

+ Deliver technical development of proposals and external presentations to clients, public, and regulatory agencies

What You Bring:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred

+ Minimum of 10 years of progressive engineering experience required

+ Professional Engineer (PE) license required

+ Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply best practices

+ Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)

+ Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills; persuasive and articulate in all settings

+ Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred

Salary Range:

$125,000 - $135,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
