    This is Onsite Monday - Friday at 150 East 42nd Street, New York, NY

     

    We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our dynamic team on-site five days a week at Mount Sinai Health System. The candidate should be a Network Subject Matter Expert, who will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and support of our Enterprise Campus and Cloud Environment, ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of our environment.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent work experience.

    + Preferred Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent certification in networking.

    + Minimum of 6 years of experience as an Enterprise Network Engineer with a strong background in Cisco networking technologies.

    + Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise campuses, and data centers.

    + Hands-on troubleshooting capabilities with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex L1/L2/L3 network issues.

    + Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, operations, data centers, and as well as clients.

    + Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and staying current with industry standards, architectures, and best practices.

    + Travel within the hospital system is required; this is a full-time, on-site, 5-day-per-week position.

    Responsibilities

    + Deep working knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies including VLANs, VRFs, Multicast (PIM/IGMP), HSRP/VRRP, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, and Spanning Tree variants (RSTP/MST).

    + Hands-on experience upgrading, deploying, configuring, and supporting Cisco Catalyst, Cisco Routers Meraki cloud platforms.

    + Experience in wireless technologies, including troubleshooting and deployment.

    + Experience with network management and monitoring platforms, including SNMP-based tools such as SolarWinds, Cisco Catalyst Center, and LogicMonitor for performance visibility, alerting, and capacity planning.

    + Assist in designing network architectures for small to large-scale environments,

    + Experience with Enterprise Campus and Data Center architectures.

    + Produce professional technical documentation, including high-level and low-level designs, operational runbooks, and network diagrams.

    + Provide Tier II/III support and lead root-cause analysis and problem-management activities for Cisco and Meraki platforms.

    + Provide day-to-day operational networking support, including monitoring, troubleshooting, change implementation, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure.

    + Diagnose and resolve network issues on-site and remotely.

    Compensation Statement

    Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $82000 - $123000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
