Job Description
Provide visionary leadership and effective management of Pine Technical and Community College’s (PTCC) federal TRIO-Student Support Services (SSS) Program, ensuring full compliance with federal rules, Education Department General Administrative Regulations (EDGAR), and approved program design. The TRIO SSS Director is responsible for the administration of the federal TRIO SSS grant program including managing and supervising all aspects of the TRIO SSS initiatives. Central to this role is a commitment to fostering student success and academic achievement, by developing and sustaining a comprehensive support program that serves low-income, first-generation college students, and students with disabilities, ensuring equitable access to resources, services, and opportunities for academic and personal growth.
**Salary Range:** _$30.55 - $44.24 per hour._
Minimum Qualifications
•Master’s degree in education, counseling, higher education administration, or a related field; candidates actively pursuing a master’s degree with completion expected within four years and possessing equivalent experience will be considered.
•Formal training or demonstrated expertise in student retention strategies and evidenced-based practices for supporting high-risk student populations including low-income, first-generation, and students with disabilities.
•Strong communication and collaboration skills with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
•Proven ability to make sound decisions, exercise professional judgment, and work independently while managing multiple responsibilities.
•Minimum of two years’ experience in program management, including policy and procedure development; grant development, implementation and compliance with federal regulations and grant compliance standards.
•Familiarity with current trends, policies, and issues impacting underserved student groups; demonstrated personal or professional engagement with overcoming barriers similar to those faced by TRIO SSS target populations.
•Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting to inform program outcomes and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualification
•Demonstrated training and experience in administering federally funded programs and delivering services to underserved student populations.
•Proven skills in staff supervision, budget oversight, program development and evaluation, regulatory compliance, and reporting.
•Experience working with student information systems to support data-informed decision-making and student tracking.
•Familiarity with Federal TRIO Student Support Services (SSS), academic support initiatives, or similar programs serving diverse, low-income, and first-generation college students.
Other Requirements
In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (Minnesota State) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota State’s vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor vehicle Records check.
