Job Description
Position Purpose
Provide leadership, coordination, and direction for the CE/CT Fire Services and Law Enforcement Training areas. Market customized training services, non-credit and credit courses, and consulting services to businesses, organizations and individuals and manage programs to generate surplus revenue to the College.
Position Responsibilities
+ Design and deliver revenue-generating credit and non-credit courses/programs, services, and customized training.
+ Provide leadership, coordination, and direction of the Fire Services and Law Enforcement Training areas.
+ Meet requirements within the college for reports, communications, outreach and maintaining control over work processes.
+ Perform professional responsibilities within your assigned area of CE/CT.
+ PLANNING – Develop goals and strategies for accomplishing areas of responsibility; actively participate in College and Continuing Education and Customized Training strategic planning processes and strategies to achieve goals; develop own professional development goals.
+ BUDGETING – Fiscally responsible for the development and monitoring of assigned contract budgets; monitor spending and prepare budget reports as needed; ensure profitability of assigned areas.
+ EVALUATION – Plan and implement evaluations of contract trainers, programs and projects assigned; participate in North Central Accreditation self-study and other college-wide evaluation processes.
+ COMMUNICATION - Utilize contractual, operational, and internal communication structures consistently and effectively to accomplish job responsibilities; demonstrate strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; work effectively and cooperatively with students, staff and professional colleagues, and external constituents. Regularly communicate with supervisors and staff.
+ Contribute to CE/CT projects and initiatives.
Salary Range:
$30.23 - $53.58/hour

**Minimum Qualifications** _(must have at time of application_ _)_
+ Business/Industry Experience/Sales and/or Training expertise.
+ Strong written, verbal, and computer skills.
+ Bottom line accountability and entrepreneurial skills.
+ Knowledge of emerging technology and business planning.
+ Knowledge of course and program design, instructional technology, and industry practices.
+ Experience in Firefighter, Hazardous Materials. EMS, or Law Enforcement
+ Driving is an integral part of responsibilities - Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Preferred Qualification
+ Knowledge of Minnesota State applicable statutes, rules, regulations, and policies.
+ Knowledge of Minnesota State policies, procedures, and organizational structure.
+ Associates degree in Fire Science, EMS, or a Public Safety related field.
+ Current licensure or certification in Firefighter I & II, and Hazardous Materials.
+ Current Emergency Medical Technician certification.
+ Public Safety Instructor experience
