How You’ll Make an Impact

**The Research and Development (R&D) Intern** will help the Technology team characterize various lubricating greases and assist in R&D activities.

_*This is a continious internship opportunity that will work through the summer and into the spring and/or fall semester and can be flexible with your school schedule. It will need to sit on-site in Lexington, KY*_

Responsibilities Include

+ Characterization of greases for commerical activities support.

+ Characterization of greases to support R&D activities.

+ R&D related materials synthesis.

+ Evaluating/Screening commerical raw materials and additives for various projects.

+ Processing/recording data from commerical and R&D activties as required.

+ Assisting in addressing customer related issues/field problems.

+ Maintenance of testing equipment and materials.

+ Getting familiar with our VLIMS system to collect and record data.

+ Performing data analysis and communication with formulators and scientists.

+ Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.

What You’ll Need

+ Currently enroleld in a Chemistry, Biology, or Engineering colllege program

+ Good team work mentality

+ Good communication skills.

+ Good computer knowledge in Microsoft Office applications.

+ The ability to occasionally life and carry up to 25lbs.
