    A Day in the Life

     

    We’re looking for a Marketing Operations Specialist to support the day-to-day systems, tools, and communications that keep our marketing team running smoothly. In this role, you’ll help build the operational foundation that enables marketing to execute efficiently, collaborate effectively, and deliver measurable results.

     

    This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, curious, and eager to learn the behind-the-scenes workings of a modern marketing organization. You’ll work closely with experienced team members across Marketing, Sales, and RevOps — gaining hands-on experience with marketing tech, campaign reporting, internal communications, and project coordination, all with strong guidance and support.

     

    This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronic's Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. This separation provides our team with a bold opportunity to unleash our potential, enabling us to operate with greater speed and agility. As a separate entity, we anticipate leveraging increased investments to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care.

    Key Responsibilities

    **Systems & Tools:** Own and maintain the marketing tech stack (e.g., Highspot, Workfront, Smartsheet, SharePoint, etc.), ensuring integration, functionality, and user adoption.

    **Performance Reporting:** Build and manage dashboards and reporting frameworks in Workfront and Smartsheet, for example, to show marketing operations effectiveness, funnel performance, and marketing ROI.

    **Internal Communications:** Serve as a central point of coordination for internal marketing communications, ensuring key initiatives, updates, and results are clearly communicated across stakeholders and teams.

    **Process Documentation & Training:** Develop and maintain documentation on marketing processes and tools; support onboarding and internal training for team members and stakeholders.

    **Budget & Vendor Support:** Assist in managing vendor relationships, contracts, and marketing budget tracking.

    A Day in The Life

     

    As a **Marketing Operations Specialist** , you'll play a key support role in driving team efficiency, visibility, and coordination. This role works closely with senior team members who will provide strong oversight, training, and mentorship. Here's what a typical day might involve:

     

    + Review project and campaign dashboards in Workfront and Smartsheet to ensure timelines and data are current.

    + Support the creation and maintenance of marketing performance reports (e.g., funnel performance, ROI, campaign status).

    + Coordinate internal marketing communications by gathering updates, drafting summaries, and publishing via SharePoint or team slides.

    + Maintain and troubleshoot core marketing tools (e.g., Highspot, Workfront, Smartsheet), ensuring data accuracy and user support.

    + Update and refine internal documentation for marketing processes and tools to support team onboarding and consistency.

    + Assist in onboarding new team members by preparing training materials and guiding them through systems setup.

    + Support budget tracking and vendor management by processing invoices, updating spend records, and maintaining contract logs.

    + Collaborate closely with a supportive team who will help guide your development in marketing operations and cross-functional collaboration.

     

    Must Have: Minimum Requirements

     

    Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field and 2+ years of experience in marketing operations, marketing coordination, project coordination, or other relevant experience

    OR

    Advanced Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field and 0+ years of experience in marketing operations, marketing coordination, project coordination, or other relevant experience

    Nice to Have

    + Familiarity with marketing tools or project management platforms (e.g., Workfront, Smartsheet, SharePoint, Highspot), with willingness and ability to learn quickly.

    + Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

    + Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, especially for internal updates and stakeholder alignment.

    + Data analytics experience: able to work with spreadsheets, dashboards, or reporting tools to identify trends or update reports.

    + High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation, tracking, and system updates.

    + Proactive mindset, eagerness to learn, and openness to coaching and oversight from senior team members.

    + Internship or academic experience in marketing operations, communications, or project management.

    + Working knowledge of tools like Workfront, Smartsheet, Highspot, SharePoint, or similar platforms.

    + Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, or Power BI).

    + Experience drafting or coordinating internal communications, newsletters, or team updates.

    + Understanding of marketing campaign workflows or content development processes.

    + Previous experience in healthcare, medical devices, or regulated industries.

    + Interest in marketing analytics, process improvement, or enablement.

    + Strong team collaboration skills and a willingness to take initiative.

    Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$67,200.00 - $100,800.00

     

    This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

     

    The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

     

    The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

     

    The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).
