Overview
Support the office of Risk Management and Corporate Compliance by maintaining accurate and timely data sources to enhance departmental processes as well as the organizational risk reduction program, and maintain regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
Risk Management:
* Assists with insurance program renewals
* Assist with Certification of Insurance Program, including auto insurance requests and maintains employee insurance lists.
* Assists in compiling documentation for claims and lawsuits
Compliance:
* Assists in coordinating compliance audits
* Assists in coordinating the Annual Risk Assessment
* Coordinate license renewals (State, CLIA, etc) for regulatory compliance
* Assists with Recovery Audit Contractors (RAC) inquiries, denials, and database management
* Assists with maintain facility payor enrollment.
General Administrative Support:
* Provides clerical, secretarial, and special project support for the Risk Management and Corporate Compliance office, including scheduling meetings and taking minutes.
* Provides support for departmental projects, such as policy maintenance, implementation of new regulations, coordination of meetings, presentation material, etc.
Communication:
* Interacts regularly with a wide variety of internal and external staff and responds to requests for information
* Handles confidential or sensitive material, exercising judgment and discretion concerning its disposition
Qualifications
Skills and Abilities
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to interact effectively and as an advocate with physicians, staff, and external parties
* Able to work both as a team player and independently
* Strong analytical abilities Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative analysis and attention to detail
* Able to identify problems and find creative, effective solutions
* Able to balance multiple priorities Proficiency with personal computers and related software Attention to patient confidentiality
Experience
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field (medical secretary, health information management)
* Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Education
* Associates Degree in business or medical field required
* Area of Interest:Secretarial/Clerical/Administrative
* Pay Range:$18.73/Hr. - $29.04/Hr.
* FTE/Hours per pay period:0.60 - 24 hrs/per week
