Garelick Farms, Dairy Farmers of America, is excited to announce an opening for a Pasteurizer Operator 3rd Shift position!

Tuesdays to Saturdays from 10:00 pm to 6:30 am.
Sign on Bonus of $1,500 for External Candidates
Rate $24.00/hr. + $1.50/hr. Shift Diff. (2nd and 3rd Shift)
GENERAL PURPOSE
Operate pasteurizer to ensure product is pasteurized and safe at or above production and quality standards.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Operate pasteurizer in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
+ Obtain milk and cream samples for testing by lab to include raw and processed product.
+ Wash and sanitize milk silos, cream tanks, and any other equipment as needed.
+ Produce product according to guidelines and separate into correct batches.
+ Follow recipe guidelines for all products produced.
+ Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
+ Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues.
+ Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.

Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
+ High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
+ Production or general work experienced preferred.
+ Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
+ Able to follow directions and carry out instructions.
+ Able to effectively work in a team environment.
+ Able to legibly write entries for record keeping.
+ Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
+ Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
+ Must be able to read, write and speak English.
