This opportunity is a hybrid position.
Responsibilities
+ Processes and maintains employee benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations in HRIS system.
+ Timely and accurately prepares data and enrollment files for carriers and third-party administrators.
+ Reconciles employee benefit deductions for accuracy across payroll and carrier systems.
+ Serves as point of contact for employee questions about benefit eligibility, coverage, claims, and enrollment procedures.
+ Supports open enrollment activities, including scheduling sessions, preparing materials, and assisting employees with elections.
+ Conducts benefit orientation with new hires as part of the onboarding process.
+ Maintains up-to-date employee benefits records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
+ Assists with preparation of required documents, notices, and reports (e.g., HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, ERISA).
+ Communicates with carriers and vendors to resolve routine issues, correct discrepancies, or verify employee data.
+ Reconciles and verifies carrier bills are accurate before forwarding for payment.
+ Generates benefits-related reports as requested by HR team members or third-party consultants.
+ Documents and maintains administrative procedures for assigned benefit processes.
Qualifications
+ Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
+ 1–3 years of experience in benefits administration (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
+ Competence in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
+ Solid understanding of basic benefits concepts and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred.
+ Experience with HRIS and benefits management systems preferred.
