The enterprise Information Technology field is rapidly changing. The explosion of data tied to the ubiquity of digital technologies and services available to consumers is changing the expectations of senior leaders, employees, customers and patients. People want access to information, everywhere, on any device, anytime. These challenges require IT to significantly uplift its technology assets and skillsets to speed up and drive the changes. To address this challenge, IT has established a five Tech Centers model in Austin, Rahway, West Point, Singapore, and Prague to provide a follow-the-sun operational model leveraging networked teams that can better support the business, the patients and make the crosswork between different departments and regions more agile.
We are seeking a talented and energetic Senior Network Specialist to support our large global network. You will have the opportunity to work on global teams to identify and tackle the biggest opportunities and challenges at the intersection of healthcare, information and technology. This position will report into the Network Reliability Engineering product group that focus on continuous service improvement, support network remediation effort, leverage Network automation and predictive trending to fix issue before disruption and develop meaningful operational matrix and dashboard.
The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work on complex problems locally, regionally, and globally and work with team members and customers across the globe. He/She will work closely with Network Product teams, various IT team members across multiple disciplines and business stakeholders.
The position requires a Senior Network Specialist with strong Networking experiences to troubleshoot/remediate wide breadth of issues and support a variety of technologies as part of a lean, agile and fast paced team with the aim to improve the reliability of the Networks. The candidate will at times be a technical lead for projects, remediation efforts and oversee the work of team members working off shore as part of a managed service. There may be a need to occasionally travel to other sites and IT hubs internationally.
_We are seeking professionals with the following qualifications, skills and experience:_
Education:
+ High School Diploma required.
Required Experience and Skills:
+ Minimum of 4 years of experience in Routing & Switching, Network Security and Cloud technologies.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in providing Network technical support and service delivery.
+ Address remediation efforts (Long term remediation, Vulnerability, Health checks…etc).
+ Knowledge in Routing & Switching, Wireless, Load Balancing, Data Center Technologies, SD-WAN and DDI (Cisco, Velocloud, F5..etc)
+ Good knowledge in TCP/IP protocol stacks.
+ Understanding of Network Security and Cloud (AWS, Azure, DMZ, Palo Alto, ASA, FTD, SASE…etc).
+ Experience with Network Operations and drive Network automation adoptions
+ Familiar with automation, monitoring and reporting tool such as or similar to (example ServONE, Ansible, Glueware, NetBrain)
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work in high pressure dynamic environment and independently prioritize work.
+ Handle repetitive issues and investigations or special request
Desired Experience and Skills:
+ Understanding of Vendor CVE Process and Remediation.
+ Engagement with NS Compliance, IT Security and Vendors to assess CVE and provide remediation status reporting.
+ At least 5 years experience supporting networks for a large company with 10,000 employees or more.
+ Understanding of service management & best practices (Example ITIL) – Incident, Problem, Change.
+ Understanding of ITSM tools such as ServiceNow and Remedy.
+ Experience with project management.
+ Understanding of collaboration services will be ideal (Voice, Video, Web Conferencing & Web Casting).
+ The selected candidate will have excellent time management skills, be a self-starter, and able to set priorities according to business needs with minimal oversight.
+ A strong desire to locate and resolve the root cause of complex problems.
