**Description:** We’re looking for an energetic, creative, and strategic full\-spectrum communications professional to support several facets of external communications to include media operations, digital marketing, advertising/branding, owned content creation and data analytics for Lockheed Martin’s Missiles and Fire Control business area\.
Reporting to the Media Relations & Digital Media Associate Manager, this communications pro will support MFC’s efforts to pitch compelling stories about the business area’s portfolio, technology and people to news organizations\. The successful candidate will support the media relations and digital marketing and advertising strategy to create and measure news media campaigns to showcase the innovation occurring across MFC and the company, and our role in helping bring new technology to life\.
This individual is a high\-bandwidth communicator, working closely across the Communications organization to ensure alignment and integration in support of key business priorities\. The successful candidate will be detail\-oriented, creative, an excellent writer and collaborative and maintain working knowledge of media relations and digital marketing\.
Primary Responsibilities
This role will serve as a critical member of the MFC external communications team, providing support in media operations, owned content creation, marketing and advertising and data analytics\. Duties include:
• Media Operations: Support day\-to\-day media relations operations to include
o Develop, support and implement proactive, strategic and integrated media directly supporting business priorities and company media relations strategy
o Story\-mine for proactive storytelling opportunities to create owned content to be used across multiple platforms
o Support media monitoring, rollups, media training and crisis communications efforts
o Build strategic targeted media lists for proactive media pitching
o Create media pitches to support business and media relations strategy
o Utilize tools monitory tools to support regular reports as appropriate
o Create and maintain cohesive messaging docs and media kits for identified focus programs
o Pull MFC metrics for Investor Relations quarterly document and media insights
o Work in an integrated manner with the digital and marketing team such that paid, earned, shared and owned content are aligned
o Deliver competitive analysis on behalf of MFC Communications and, when appropriate, with Competitive Intelligence, monitoring our competitors’ presence in advertising, marketing, social media and web\.
• Digital Marketing & Advertising: This individual will support Business Area objectives for digital marketing and advertising efforts\. He/she will partner with program teams, our corporate office, and external agencies to, oversee creative production, manage execution, and measure performance\.
o Work with program and functional communications to curate MFC content for LM\.com
o Write and publish external feature stories supporting customer site visits and digital campaigns
o Update MFC LM\.com pages quarterly in partnership with appropriate stakeholders
o Monitor and manage LM\.com content for MFC
o Develop and support campaigns with digital advertising and work to maximize sponsorship opportunities
o Support advertising operations for International campaigns and pursuits
o Evaluate advertising channels and opportunities
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, communications or related discipline
• Strong writing skills for multiple audiences and platforms
• Understanding of advertising and marketing strategy, trends, and technologies\.
• Communications and Media Relations experience

• Understanding of analytics and analysis to influence strategic decisions and direction
• Comfortable working as part of a matrixed team; flexible in a dynamic work environment

**Ability to Work Remotely:** Full\-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site\. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings\.
**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
**Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $81,600 \- $153,800\. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only\. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as \(but not limited to\) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer\.

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York \(excluding most major metropolitan areas\), Colorado, or Washington is $71,000 \- $136,000 \. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only\. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as \(but not limited to\) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer\.

\(Washington state applicants only\) Non\-represented full\-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off \(PTO\) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays\. Represented full time employees accrue 6\.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays\. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year\.
