    Psycho l o g ist J ob De s cription:

    Under broad supervision, evaluates behavioral, emotional, and cognitive disorders for justice-involved youth placed in secure residential facilities. Applies theory relating to behavior and mental processes to formulate and administer treatment programs as a clinical member of a multidisciplinary team. Helps youth work toward the maintenance and enhancement of physical, intellectual, emotional, and social functioning.

    • E v al u ate a n d mo n i t or me n tal hea l th c l ini c a l s e rvi c e s t o e n sure they are b e ing d el i v e red i n a c c o rda n ce w i th p r o fes s i o n al sta n da r ds,

    • Pro v ide clin i c al tr e a t me n t servi c e s to youth, including individual therapy, group therapy, crisis intervention, and psychoeducational programming,

    • Pro v i de c o n s u l t a t i o n a nd /or c risis i n te r v ent i on f or y o u th who p r esent e m e r ge n t i s s u es that p o se a p o t e n tial ri s k t o th e m se l ves o r ot h e r s ,

    • P r o v id e cli n i c a l e du c a t io n , co n s u ltation a n d l e a de r s h ip for staff who work in secure residential facilities,

    • Provide on-call remote consultation.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Doctorate degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited college or university AND current Georgia license to practice psychology. Note: License may be temporary, provisional, or permanent.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience working with justice involved youth in residential treatment settings,

    • Experience providing clinical supervision to treatment staff,

    • Training and experience in trauma-focused interventions
