    HDD Locator

     

    HDD Locator are responsible for precise HDD placement, utilizing the latest in electronics to navigate the drill stem in a trenchless operation. HDD Locators work under the supervision of the Superintendent.

     

    What Do You Offer Us?

     

    + Locate utilities with either Digi-tracklocating systems

    + Operate equipment, including, but not limited to directional drills, locating systems, backhoe, excavators

    + Locators read and interpret utility maps to determine the presence of underground utilities.

    + Other duties as required for business purposes.

    + Other related duties and projects as assigned

    What is Required?

     

    + Class ACommercial Driver’s License (CDL)w/ Tanker Endorsement - Preferred

    + Experience with locating & verify all utilities before constructionAbility to work safely, with or without supervision.

    + Ability to work extended hours when necessary for business

    + Experience working in construction is a plus

    + Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment

    + Ability and willingness to travel as needed

    + Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds of force frequently

    + Exertion up to 100 pounds of force occasionally

    + Walking on uneven terrain/surfaces

    + Sitting or standing for long periods of time

    + Reaching and lifting overhead frequently

    + Work environment outdoors in weather conditions that vary from freezing temperatures to heat above 90 degrees, in wet and dry conditions and in rural areas.

    + Work may be performed in confined spaces. Some exposure to odors, gases, dust and dirt may occur.

    + The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud.

    + May spend long periods of time driving and/or riding in line construction vehicles to reach remote areas of the service territory.

     

    This position is subject to the Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) drug & alcohol testing regulations as outlined in 49 CFR Part 382 and/or 49 CFR Part 199.
