RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Assistant Director of Clinical Care for the Med/Surg Unit III at Community Medical Center.

Community Medical Center, is a 592-bed, fully accredited acute care hospital offering area residents world-class medical treatment with the comforts of hometown care. Opened in 1961, CMC has evolved into the state s newest teaching hospital with four residency programs and Ocean County s largest and most active health care facility caring for over 21,500 inpatients, 178,000 outpatients and 73,700 emergency department patients each year.

Qualifications:

+ Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.

+ Current New Jersey RN License

+ At least 2 years acute care nursing experience or 2 years acute care nursing experience with previous management experience

Preferred:

+ Preferred Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or currently matriculating

Certifications and Licenses Required:

+ BLS Health Care provider through American Heart Association

+ Additional certifications may be required as per the Administrative Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification Policy

Scheduling Requirements:

+ Full-Time 40 hours per week

Essential Functions:

+ Manages patient care delivery on an assigned shift.

+ Ensure that Med/Surg Unit III is in compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulations.

+ Ability to pay attention to detail

+ Leadership skills; critical thinking, problem-solving skills

+ Ability to work well under pressure

+ Ambition and desire to positively impact patient care, patient experience and the overall success of the unit.

+ Responsibilities include assisting the Director in managing the unit with staff schedules, evaluations, discipline & QI.
