Responsibilities

Provide imaging and patient care services.

+ Position patients and select exposure factors accurately.

+ Implement radiation protection and safety standards.

+ Select appropriate scanning parameters for each exam.

+ Obtain and utilize relevant patient data.

+ Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.

+ Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.

+ Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).

+ Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

+ Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Florida Radiologic Technology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

+ Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred.

+ Radiologic Technologist specializing in Bone Densitometry credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred.

Education:

+ High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

1 or more years of experience working with electronic imaging software - preferred

Previous experience with performing Dexa Scans - preferred
