    Responsible for assigning responsibilities to department personnel and coordinating department activities and personnel. Monitors department’s performance for safety, quality and productivity.

     

    + Assigns work and guides department personnel in completion of assignments in accordance with production schedules, utilizing labor and equipment in the most efficient manner.

    + Performs duties of supervisor when he or she is unavailable.

    + May be called upon to perform the following functions at the direction of the department supervisor:

    + Trains department workers on assignments, assuring proper performance and work habits are being met.

    + Keeps supervisor aware of personnel problems so prompt action might be taken.

    + Is mindful of improved methods or processes in completing assignments. Implements new ideas.

    + Completes departmental paperwork as required.

    + Monitors department to ensure adherence to quality procedures and process instructions.

    + Responsible for keeping areas neat, clean, organized, and under control.

    + Is responsible for quality and safety of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies.

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

    Required: High school education.

     

    Preferred: High school education and six months previous experience in a manufacturing setting.
