Senior EHS Specialist

**Location:** Tennessee - relocation offered

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a Senior EHS Specialist to oversee and manage the environmental, health, and safety programs at our client's manufacturing facility. This role is critical in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment, compliance with regulations, and fostering a proactive safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Oversee and manage a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety laws.

+ Develop, recommend, and implement safety policies and procedures.

+ Ensure compliance with OSHA and state safety regulations.

+ Create and maintain safety training materials, presentations, and safety data sheets.

+ Participate in safety audits, investigations, and inspections.

+ Manage specific safety objectives for each department.

+ Stay current on industry trends and innovations.

+ Represent health and safety interests with employees and provide necessary training.

+ Assist in emergency management procedures.

+ Maintain compliance with environmental requirements, including hazardous waste and storm water management.

+ Lead industrial hygiene monitoring in manufacturing areas.

+ Assist in maintaining plant security plans.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene, or related field with 4-6 years of relevant experience.

+ Experience in working in a facility with 500+ employees.

+ Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.

+ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

+ Excellent attendance, work record, and customer service skills.

+ Strong work ethic, integrity, adaptability, and flexibility.

+ Basic understanding of ergonomic principles.

Preferred Requirements:

+ Experience in a health and safety role in manufacturing.

+ Certification in a specialized EHS field (e.g., Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics, Environmental Engineering).
