Job Title: Associate, Production Control

Reports To: Supervisor , Production

Position Location: Metuchen, NJ

FLSA Status : Non-Exempt

Key Responsibilities:

+ Production Scheduling : Create and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands while optimizing resource utilization .

+ Inventory Management : Monitor raw materials, packaging, and finished goods inventory levels. Place orders for supplies as needed to prevent shortages and minimize excess inventory.

+ Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure products meet the established quality standards and specifications.

+ Production Coordination : Coordinate with production teams to ensure that production orders are executed efficiently, meeting production targets, and timelines.

+ Documentation : Maintain accurate and up-to-date production records, including batch records, quality reports, and inventory logs.

+ Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and efficiency enhancements within the production control process.

+ Communication: Liaise with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and logistics , to facilitate smooth production operations.

+ Compliance : Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and company policies.

+ Mathematical and Numerical Skills: Proficiency in mathematical and numerical calculations for inventory management, demand forecasting, and data analysis.

+ This position does not have direct reports but may serve as a coach and mentor to other production employees.

+ Other duties as assigned.

Education:

+ A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as supply chain management, industrial engineering or equivalent internal work experienc e is recommended .

Experience:

+ Previous experience in production control, inventory management, or a similar role is required .

+ Proficiency using a computer and electronic databases, MS Office especially Excel, Outlook .

+ Proficiency in using production planning and inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems).

+ Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to optimize production processes.

+ Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills.

+ Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

+ Control exposures to hazardous chemicals and other safety hazards such as:

+ Carcinogens

+ Sharp and dangerous blades.

+ Biohazard exposure to specimens

+ Lifting of up to 50 lbs. occasionally .

+ Ability to climb ladders (up to 10ft) occasionally

+ Safety Toe s Shoes
