    Position Description

    The PSM/Engineering Technician will be responsible for PSM/RMP compliance at assets located in the Williston, ND area. Responsibilities: • Assist operations with Management of Change (MOC), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Pre Start-Up Safety Reviews (PSSR). • Assist operations in risk management and incident investigation processes including facilitating root cause analysis of reported incidents, near misses, injury, or vehicle collision. • Maintain safety equipment in proper working order and coordinate required inspections, maintenance, calibration/testing, and replacement as required. • Development and enhancement of compliance review policies and procedures. • Coordinate and conduct EHS, Tailgate, LMS, and PSM-related trainings. • Preparation and submittal of annual emissions and hazardous waste inventories as required. • Participate in emergency response planning, preparation and efforts. • Participate in corporate Technical Work Groups, as appropriate. • Ensure Maximo, MOC and Ops-info action items are in compliance and completed • Communicate operational and safety issues from shift to shift. • Communicate problems, issues and conflicts to supervisors. • Assist operations in organizing maintenance, repair, turnaround projects, daily operation tasks and scheduling of contract personnel. • Make sure all safety procedures are followed by plant personnel and contractors. • Fill in for sick and vacation times. • Work closely with plant supervisor on safety meetings, CAP plans, and all PSM paperwork. Double check that everything is in compliance. • Train everyone on new equipment. Make sure all procedures are completed, up to date, organized and understood by everyone. • Make sure plant log book is getting completed. • Fill in for callouts when supervisor is not available. • Other duties as assigned.

    Position Requirements

    Education and/or experience: • High school degree or equivalent • General knowledge of compressor stations, gathering system, and processing plant operations • Follows company policies, practices, and regulatory requirements Preferred education, experience, certifications, competencies, skills, and abilities: • Associate's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering discipline Licenses: • Valid state operating license with acceptable driving record Physical demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Uses physical force to lift, push, pull and hold equipment/tools • Climbs and works at various heights; may work in a standing, sitting, lying down, crouched or kneeling position • Routinely reacts to visual, aural and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work • Regularly bends, stoops, moves from ground level to higher levels, raises/lifts from ground level a load up to 50 lbs., manually transports a load up to 75 lbs., and applies up to 150 foot pounds of torque • Regularly gets into and out of vehicles and rides over rough roads • Walks an average of 5 miles per day, up to 7 miles per day • Candidates may be subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing requirements • Subject to overtime and call-outs Working conditions: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
