Hiring Range : $42.84 Flat rate

The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Responsibilities:

+ Sets up and adjusts all imaging equipment and manually maneuvers transducers to perform exams.

+ Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures.

+ Performs routine and complex studies and assists in a variety of imaging procedures.

+ Recognizes significant structures, artifacts, pathology and equipment limitations.

+ Positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.

+ Ensures all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.

+ Ensures prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, and patient data/history).

+ Assists in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms and any other areas in department.

+ Responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment

+ Cardiac Sonographers must be self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of the field, cardiac pathology, and new procedures as they evolve.

+ Assists in cardiac protocols, policy and procedures.

Complexity of Work: • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Personal Protective Equipment: • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
