    SWP Contracting and Paving, LLC has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Rough Blade Operator to join our team.

     

    In this role, you will be responsible for the safe operation of a motor grader to perform initial leveling and rough grading of land, essentially shaping the terrain to a basic, uneven level before finer finishing work is done; responsibilities include reading site plans, maneuvering the grader to remove large amounts of dirt and rocks, and ensuring safe operation of the heavy machinery while coordinating with other crew members on the project.

    Responsibilities and Duties:

    + Safe operation of heavy construction equipment.

    + Drive, maneuver, or control the heavy machinery used to construct roads and other structures.

    + Follow rules, regulations, procedures, policies, and instructions.

    + Perform other related duties as required.

    + Inspect and maintain motor grader/blade

    Qualifications:

    + A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

    + Operate construction heavy equipment

    + Previous experience with grade control systems

    + Heavy/highway construction experience

    + GPS experience is a plus
