The School of Engineering and Applied Sciences within Ogden College of Science and Engineering at Western Kentucky University invites applications for a full-time, nine-month appointment at the rank of Instructor I in Mechanical Engineering, beginning August 2025 (one year).
We seek a dedicated educator who is enthusiastic about project-based learning and committed to excellence in teaching. The successful candidate will teach within the framework of the University, School, and Program Mission Statements. A doctorate or master's degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field is required. Preferred qualifications include experience teaching baccalaureate engineering students in engineering mechanics, thermo-fluids, laboratory, or design courses.
Our ABET-accredited, baccalaureate-only Mechanical Engineering program emphasizes an integrated, project-based curriculum with a strong focus on hands-on design experiences. We are committed to preparing graduates for successful engineering careers through an innovative and student-centered approach.
Job Requirements:
+ MS or Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field
