Skidmore College is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic candidate to join the Infrastructure Systems team within the Information Technology Department . The successful candidate will be part of a team whose responsibilities include 24/7 system uptime, under direction of the Director of Infrastructure. Among the major systems the team supports are Windows and Linux based servers, O365 Tenant Administration, AWS, and Okta Identity and Access Management.

Responsibilities include:

+ Configuring, supporting, and maintaining Windows and Linux systems with VMWare ESXi

+ Microsoft 365 Tenant Administration

+ Okta Identity and Access Management Administration

+ Maintain valid backups and restore as needed

+ User and file server management

+ Using best practices to secure users, servers, and hardware

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Associates degree or 3 years of experience in systems administration.

+ Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Tenant Administration

+ Knowledge of Active Directory and file management

+ Windows Server Administration skills

+ VMWare Virtual Server Administration

+ Excellent communication and documentation skills.

+ Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.

+ Time management skills and the ability to multitask.

+ Must be flexible. Occasional after-hours support is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ PowerShell Scripting

+ Experience with Linux Operating Systems.

+ Good written and verbal communication, with an emphasis on customer service

+ Experience with Okta Identity Management is a plus

+ Bachelor’s degree
