Epic Programmer/Analyst Sr. - Healthy Planet

General Summary/Responsibilities:

Premier Health utilizes the Epic system as the electronic medical record (EMR) in which patient health information is entered and stored for the purpose of securing patient clinical information and enhancing patient care. Premier Health employs multiple Epic Teams that specialize in a range of applications within the Epic EMR.

The Epic Programmer Analyst Sr. is responsible for analysis of complex workflows, advanced system configuration and development, application deployment and support, change documentation, and will educate and inform staff on Epic functionality. The Epic area of focus for this position is Healthy Planet. The individual will anticipate business needs and think with a business owner mind-set based on a strong fundamental knowledge of their application and how it integrates with other systems. The individual will understand the organizational infrastructure and can recommend solutions that enable the enterprise to achieve its goals. These responsibilities require the individual to be a knowledge leader for their systems and/or applications. The individual delivers results across multiple teams to provide solutions for the enterprise.

+ Able to effectively communicate technical subjects to non-technical customers.

Education:

Minimum Level of Education Required: Associate degree

Additional requirements:

+ Type of degree: Associate degree with 6 plus years job experience & 3 years Epic experience or Bachelor degree with 4 plus years job experience & 2 years Epic experience.

+ Area of study or major: Nursing, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Laboratory, Pharmacy, or Medicine.

+ Preferred educational qualifications: N/A

+ Position specific testing requirement: N/A

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

+ Epic application certification is required. Epic certification in primary area of responsibility within 6 months in position is required.

+ The certification required is the Healthy Planet and Compass Rose Clinical Build.

+ Minimum Level of Experience Required: 3 - 5 years of job-related experience
