    Job Summary

    ActiveProspect is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Director to join our growing sales team and accelerate our sales efforts within the financial services sector. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for driving expansion and increasing our market presence within the financial vertical.

     

    As the Sales Director, you will oversee all aspects of business development, including generating new opportunities, cross-selling to existing clients, cultivating strategic partnerships, and contributing to marketing and event initiatives. This position requires strong contractual negotiation skills and a deep understanding of the financial services landscape, including macroeconomic trends.

     

    The ideal candidate will possess exceptional relationship-building abilities, the skill to communicate complex value propositions effectively, and a proven track record of managing a sales pipeline and securing commitments. Success in this role will be measured by your ability to strategically grow revenue and drive business success within your designated vertical.

     

    Responsibilities and Duties

     

    + Revenue. You will own all-new customer development activities and quota achievement for your area.

    + Cross-Selling: You will be responsible for cross-selling to your book of business.

    + Strategy. You will be responsible for defining and executing various sales strategies for your prospects.

    + Industry Research. You will constantly be networking and talking to prospects - lead buyers, lead sellers, and service providers to improve your understanding of the landscape. You will follow industry trade publications that are applicable to the various verticals you will be servicing.

    + Events & Trade Shows. You will track the various industry trade shows and select the appropriate events for the company that you will attend.

    + Maintain Relationships.  Build and maintain relationships with key contacts in the industry. You will know who our customers are and maintain relationships with them. Provide partner recommendations to customers and potential customers.

    + Client Success. Work closely with the client success team members ensuring all new customers are properly on-boarded and retained.

    + Spokesperson. You will be an ambassador for the company, our technology and the thought leadership that we are creating in the industry.

     

    Qualifications and Skills

     

    + 5-10 years of enterprise SaaS sales experience, preferably involving compliance, financial services, or lead generation software.

    + Proven ability to transform a vertical from having an initial customer base to becoming a key growth market for the organization, with a demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding enterprise sales quotas.

    + Skilled in managing enterprise sales pipelines, delivering accurate forecasting, and providing detailed reporting.

    + Strong ability to articulate and communicate the value proposition of complex enterprise SaaS technology to diverse stakeholders, while exhibiting strong leadership skills with a positive, solutions-oriented mindset.

    + Demonstrates flexibility in dynamic work environments and takes initiative in addressing technical challenges by seeking out solutions independently.

    + Consistently sets and maintains high performance standards, thrives as a team player capable of building excellent working relationships, and recognizes the unique contributions of each team member.

    + Works effectively and patiently in fast-paced, rapidly growing team environments, demonstrating a willingness to go beyond the job description to support the team’s success.

    + Self-motivated with a resourceful, entrepreneurial mindset and a relentless can-do attitude.

    + Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
