    **Description:** ​

     

    This role is responsible for assessing and treating patients referred for speech language, hearing and swallowing disorders in a n effective and professional manner while adhering to Maryland State law and the American Speech and Hearing Association Code of Ethics.

    Responsibilities:

    + Collaborates with physicians, medical professionals, staff and families to ensure quality of care

    + Therapists provide assessment and care for patients of all ages from neonates through the geriatric patients

    + Additional training may be required to work with special programs, procedures or specified groups of patients as determined by department guidelines and best practice

    + Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital

    What you will need:

    + Graduate of an accredited school with a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

    + Two (2) years experience in acute care or rehabilitation setting with an emphasis on adult neurogenic disorders, dysphagia, and communication-cognitive impairments.

    + Current Maryland License to practice Speech pathology

    + American Heart Association (BLS CPR) certified within probationary period

    + Adheres to the ASHA Code of Ethics

    + Reads, writes, speaks, and comprehends the English language

    + Must be able to work weekends and holidays

    + Must be willing and able to become proficient on basic computer systems utilized for documentation, scheduling and charging systems

     

    Pay Range: $46.00 - $50.65

     

    Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
