    Essential or Primary / Key Responsibilities

     

    Accounts Payable Analyst

     

    + Analyzes accounts payable transactions to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.

    + Communicates with vendors as needed and investigates and resolves discrepancies in billings and payments.

    + Collaborates with adjacent departments to streamline processes and recommends improvements to accounts payable policies and procedures.

    + Works with Business Unit Finance on program close-outs to follow -up on any outstanding issues and ensure all transactions are complete.

    + Maintains and reconciles accounts payable ledger to validate charges and ensure accurate and timely payments.

    + Manages the "Received not Invoiced" file and works with vendors, buyers and AP staff to resolve aged receiving and debit memos.

    + Can reconcile receiving, debit memos and invoicing for PO’s that have a large amount of transactions.

    + Understands sales use tax compliance and assists in quarterly reporting.

    + Research (with quality, stock room and inspection) R/I and MMR Discrepancies that are preventing invoice processing.

    + Assist with identifying and recording unallowable expenses based on FAR regulations.

    + Will assist with the implementation and set-up of an employ expense reporting system.

    + Utilizes AP data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvements or cost savings.

    + Manage yearly 1099 processing and recording

    Minimum Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree preferred

    + Minimum 5 years of experience

    + Epicor experience a plus

    + Three plus years of relevant experience

    + WAWF/PIEE experience preferred

    + Experience working with customer portal uploads.

    + Effective verbal/written communication skills required for interacting with all levels of personnel within the organization.

    + Soft skills needed to be successful in this position would include team player, flexible, collaborative and has good communication skills.

    + Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook)

    + Must be a US Citizen

     

    This position is at our Parsippany, NJ corporate offices location.
