    Job Summary:

    Methodist Healthcare Systems is recruiting skilled and dedicated emergency medicine physicians to join our collegial team at Methodist ER - De Zavala in San Antonio, Texas.

    Qualified Candidates:

    + Must be BC/BE in EM (MD or DO) and EM residency trained

    + Possess strong communication skills

    + Expertise in the evaluation and management of acute medical emergencies

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with sound judgment and decision-making skills

    Incentive/Position Details:

    + 13,800 annual volume

    + 9 ED beds

    + 24 hours of physician coverage

    + Shift times: 7a-7p, 7p-7a

    + MediTech EMR

    + Trauma transfers to Methodist Hospital or Methodist Children’s Hospital

    + 1099 position - up to 120 hours available

    + Meditech EMR

    Methodist ER De Zavala** **and Methodist Healthcare System:

    + The emergency services team is fully trained team and equipped to handle a variety of adult and pediatric conditions.

    + Radiology, full-service laboratory and telemetry

    + Specific on-site diagnostic equipment will include: 64-slice CT scanner, dedicated x-ray suite, ultrasound and telemetry equipment

    + Immediate intervention for serious emergencies where treatment time is critical with quick transfer capabilities to any Methodist Healthcare facility

    + 24-hour monitoring and testing of patients, such as chest pain cases

    + Use of a Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS) to allow staff to electronically transmit any diagnostic image
