Tailchasers Barrington Pet Resort is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Kennel Manager to oversee the care and comfort of our furry guests (both cats and dogs). About the Role:

As Kennel Manager, you are at the heart of our operations, working closely with the Reception Manager and reporting directly to the Executive Management Team. You’ll lead by example, coach and train staff, and ensure every pet receives exceptional care. Whether you’re managing playgroups, training team members, or stepping in to support the day-to-day needs of the facility, your leadership is intended to make a difference!

This role requires someone comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions—rain, snow, or shine!

Key Responsibilities:

+ Team Leadership: Train, inspire, and manage a dedicated kennel team.

+ Facility Oversight: Ensure cleanliness, manage and organize supplies, and monitor repairs.

+ Pet Care Excellence: Oversee feeding and medication, coordinate and manage playgroups, and provide a safe and positive environment for all pets visiting the resort.

Compensation: $18/hour + tips

What We’re Looking For:

+ Experience: At least 6 months in management within a similar industry.

+ Leadership Skills: Proven ability to motivate and lead a team.

+ Adaptability: Quick learner with a proactive approach to challenges.

+ Communication: Friendly, clear, and professional.

+ Physical Stamina: Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and perform tasks like kneeling, crouching, walking, and standing for extended periods.

+ Reliability: Dependable, self-motivated, and eager to take initiative.

+ Tech Skills: Proficient with basic computer functions.

+ Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
